Pastor Thompson is a 3rd generation preacher, he is the grandson of the Late Rev. M.C Phillips the former pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church , Havre de Grace Maryland. Pastor Thompson began his ministry in Atlanta at Ebenezer Baptist Church where his mother the late Bernice Phillips Thompson was the church Administrator. He later worked in Atlanta with young people at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. However it wasn't until he moved to Connecticut that he answered the true calling on his life and was ordained and served along side his lovely wife Jewell and ministered for 10 years to the young people at Ebenezer Temple Hartford, Connecticut. The last Four of those years Pastor Thompson served as the Youth Pastor. Pastor Thompson and his family dedicated their lives to the Ebenezer youth ministry, and without warning the Lord instructed Pastor Thompson in July 2003 similar to God's call to Abram in Genesis 12:l "Leave your country, your relatives, and your father's house ,and go to a place I will show you" (NLT). One year later the Lord made provision for his family to move to Harford County, MD in August 2004.
Believing in the vision that God gave him the Lord revealed a church of “KINGDOM BUILDERS” and on Oct 8, 2006 Love Fellowship Christian Center, Inc. was opened with 4 members: Pastor Thompson, his wife and there two children. Since October 8, 2006, with God's help, the LFCC leadership and the faithful LFCC family, the church has grown spiritually and numerically. LFCC currently has approximately 140+ members and has secured and renovated there temporary facility that accommodates this rapidly growing ministry. Several life altering ministries have been implemented in the past 3 years, and we are looking for God to enlarge our territory.
